Architect IV
Location: Remote
Pay Rate: $65 to $86 per hour (based on experience)
Job Summary:
The Livefire Solutions Architect is a hands-on Compute Specialist with significant experience in the architecture, design, and deployment of cloud-capable infrastructure. In other words, this person will be skilled in all phases of developing and delivering the benefits of virtualization and higher-order abstraction (compute, storage, network, and management) in customer environments, and is fluent in disseminating that information to a given audience.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Pivotal/DevOps
- Minimum of 5-10 years in a Systems Engineer or Consulting role, with extensive experience in VMware products, solutions & services.
- 5+ years of that experience working directly with customers to design, develop, and support OS and
- application software
Required Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to capture, develop, and share IP, knowledge with the community at large, as well as specific individuals
• Minimum of 5-10 years in a Systems Engineer or Consulting role, with extensive experience in VMware products, solutions & services.
• 5+ years of that experience working directly with customers to design, develop, and support OS and application software.
• Domain level knowledge of application development technology and experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry
• Experience in designing and deploying cloud-native enterprise applications in public or private cloud
• Experience in software development including languages, systems, and frameworks such as Spring/Java, Ruby/Rails, Go, messaging (RabbitMQ/AMQP, JMS), RDBMS, NoSQL, and Hadoop OR ASP.NET Core and .NET Core
• Experience with software build tools including Maven, Gradle, and Bundler
• Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Experience in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, or enterprise application architecture
• Hands on experience with Public Cloud Technologies including VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure and Google Compute Platform
• Exposure to the VMware Software Defined Datacenter. including VMware Cloud Foundation
• Experience with developing custom integrations between disparate systems using APIs
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
• Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral
• Able to clearly articulate complex subjects to a large audience through presentations and white boarding
• Proficient with the English language
