Healthcare Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Atlanta, GA
 

Prestige Staffing is searching for a Chief Financial Officer for a large medical private practice.The CFO is the head of strategic accounting and finance functions of the company. The CFO’s responsibility is to have strong analytical, planning, and communication skills necessary to work with the company CEO and Senior officers. Directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry.

Primary Qualifications

  • MBA in accounting or finance required
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer required
  • Experience managing a small staff of five or more
  • Advanced working knowledge of accounting software, using all program applications related to all general accounting functions and, specifically, payroll and human resource functions. Strong computer skills. Advanced working knowledge of MS Office products, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to prepare, evaluate and explain diverse financial data. Demonstrated management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to anticipate and apply appropriate responses in difficult sensitive situations. Ability to adapt to changing business needs.  Ability to prioritize projects and analyze impact of competing business priorities. Demonstrated judgment, reliability, and maturity
  • Ability to work with confidential information. Local travel is required as needed.
  • Job will be located in Atlanta, GA and candidate will need work in the corporate office

Essential Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.
  • Manage the strategic direction of accounting and finance functions.
  • Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
  • Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets.
  • Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO/President, the Board and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
  • Coordinates preparation and submission of all required federal, state, and local tax returns and reports.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Information Officer on technological changes
  • Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter.
