Data Warehouse Engineer 


Skills: 3-5 years BI & SQL Experience

Pay: $85000 -$115000

Location: Sandy Springs

The ideal candidate should have the ability to strategically design and implement BI software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehouses. Entreating all reporting and BI requirements for client(s). Users training of BI application usage. Ensure high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing. Business analysis to gather required BI system requirements Ensure smooth running of already deployed data warehouse operations including: reports, cubes, and pack. The ideal candidate will have experience with the following: SSRS, SSIS, SQL, CRM, MS Dynamics and stored procedure development.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years of Report design and development
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with Data Warehouse architectures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential
  • Adaptable to flexible work schedules
  • Ability to maintain professional image and work environment
  • Ability to organize, plan, prioritize and follow through on work
  • Ability to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates to Information Technology

Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, debug and document reports, while enhancing existing reports to ensure that applications continue to meet user and business needs
  • Develop new reports for business operations
  • Code SQL queries from original information or data and completing statistical analyses as required
  • Troubleshoot reporting problems by determining error messages and debugging user problems, identifying and resolving application system operating problems to ensure continuous business operations
  • Analyze poor performing reports to diagnose issues and provide solutions to increase end-user productivity
  • Interface with user management regarding project status and user needs to promote and environment of user cooperation and satisfaction
  • Responsible for unit testing reports and initiating end-user testing and acceptance
  • Provide training and documentation on report usage to customer
  • Reviews data access code for correctness and best possible methods
  • Leads performance tuning and troubleshoot activities as required
