Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain GCP’s information technology infrastructure assuring that IT is properly aligned with firm objectives and strategies
  • Research available products and develop procedures to best support the firm’s goals and objectives
  • Review department systems and procedures with a goal of maximizing efficiency while controlling costs
  • Develop plans for the implementation of new projects, coordinating process with project leaders
  • Maintain detailed network information, including diagrams and documentation
  • Troubleshoot multi-platform/multi-vendor issues, determining scope, problem identification and resolution
  • Participate in technical due diligence efforts to support the firm during acquisitions processes
  • Support portfolio companies on technical implementation and form recommendations on infrastructure requirements
  • Provide end-user support for main office and branch locations including portfolio companies
  • Support network systems in a 24/7 environment ensuring stability, security and optimal performance.  This requirement includes occasional after-hours maintenance and responding to emergencies at any hour.
  • Maintain PCI compliance within LAN/WAN environment, including internal and external network scans
  • Manage disaster recovery system and perform regular tests to ensure systemreadiness
  • Insure firm compliance with information security policy; document associated processes and test results
  • Manage the following IT Systems:
    • Server hardware and software
    • Datto backup platform
    • Exchange servers, spam/email antivirus software, and archiving platform
    • Active Directory and DNS servers
    • Web, application servers, and load balancers
    • WAN and VPN connectivity between office locations
    • Corporate and facility networks including routers, switches, and wireless access points
    • Firewall hardware and associated access management policies

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years relevant IT experience
  • Experience managing Windows servers (Active Directory, Exchange, MS SQL, IIS)
  • Experience working with dynamic routing (BGP and OSPF), Switching, IPv4 and IPv6, Firewalls, UTM, vulnerability scanning and remediation, multi-path routing, wireless setup and management, and load balancing.
  • Ability to learn and understand business systems used throughout the company and be able to support and integrate those systems into existing and/or new environments.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, SSH and other common network protocols
  • Experience with firewall concepts and technologies.  Sonicwall brand equipment experience a plus.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting wireless access points and multiple virtual wireless networks. 
  • Power Shell experience a plus but not required
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • SEC Compliance standards a plus but not required
  • Experience implementing and managing CRM systems a plus
  • Certifications are not required, but MCSE, CISSP, EMCSA, CWNP, CCSA/CCSE will be valued accordingly
