Position Summary:

The registered nurse is a professional practitioner who delivers patient care through the nursing process in accordance with the mission, vision and values of the organization.                                                    

Essential Functions:

  • Function within the scope of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act

  • Addresses and resolves customer complaints and/or concerns independently whenever possible.  Implements Chain of Command when necessary. 

Position Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current Illinois State licensure.  Maintains regulatory requirements.      
  • Must be CPR certified.  
  • Computer literate.  Computer literacy content focuses on computer basics and the use of generic software applications such as word processing, presentation software, and the use of electronic communication such as email.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • National certification in area of specialty.
  • Greater than one (1) year of working experience in a similar unit with comparable patient acuity.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in Home Health
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills
