Test Program Manager


Skills: Solid background in manual and automation testing & testing fundamentals, project management, solid reporting & communication experience, Cloud (Google/GCP, AWS, Azure), good understanding of programming languages (Java, .NET, Python Javascript, etc)

Pay: $105,000 - $113,000

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia and Remote (WFH)

Job Summary:

Performs and participates in application development and testing to apply continuous quality and testability of code throughout the software development lifecycle. Builds quality within the software development process with automated testing suites providing a comprehensive view from code quality to functionality. Uses quality paradigms to provide real time quality with use of automation and frequent regression testing. Designs / develops and maintains automation frameworks and automation test suites and scripts with continuous integration, testing, deployment and delivery. Conducts performance, load, security and service virtualization testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate testing efforts on large scale, high visibility projects
  • Review test approaches and provide input as to key focus areas
  • Create complex test strategies to ensure coverage for large projects
  • Partner with offshore teams to lead multiple automation and performance testing efforts
  • Train testing teams across the enterprise on testing best practices
  • Implement test automation, performance and security testing best practices in large projects
  • Participate and advance automation efforts across the Enterprise
  • Create a process to integrate testing in the CI/CD pipeline
  • Provide estimates for testing efforts across projects

Other Duties:

  • Mentor tester across the enterprise
  • Partner with development teams to identify testing partnership
  • Build out a strong integration testing process
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test automation failures
  • Grow security testing practice
  • Provide estimates on large scale testing projects
  • identify improvements to the SDLC process around testing

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science or Engineering,
  • Knowledge of automation testing frameworks
  • Ability to work on multiple large projects
  • Ability to be self sufficient
  • Working knowledge of programming languages: Java, .NET, Python, Javascript
  • Proficiency in modern software development and build processes
  • Expert knowledge of testing best practices such as Exploratory Testing, Performance and Test Automation
  • Working experience with modern development and delivery methodologies such as Agile
  • Strong aptitude for collaboration and ability to lead and influence a team of leaders, as well as mentor engineers
  • Experience and understanding of large scale infrastructure deployments in enterprise-wide environments required
  • Excellent active listening skills that enable you to understand the goals and challenges to craft meaningful solutions
  • Capable of understanding and solving complex technical concepts
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills along with the ability to influence without authority
  • Working knowledge of performance testing tools and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to create test reports that detail important findings
  • Working experience and understanding of software development practices and how to align that with modern testing approach
  • Cloud Experience: AWS, GCE, Azure
  • Knowledge of security testing best practices
