Lab Assistant
Prestige Staffing is hiring a seasoned internal medicine MA/Lab Assistant with outstanding interpersonal skills for a full time permanent position in Sandy Springs, GA. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys taking care of patients and desires the luxury of time to do so in an unhurried, more focused environment. This is a Monday - Friday (36-38 hour work week) during normal business hours.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the highest level of empathy, kindness and understanding in delivering patient care.
2. Contribute to the professional atmosphere required by the physicians and staff.
3. Maintain the strictest level of patient confidentiality.
4. Assist the practice in delivering the highest level of operation and clinical standards.
5. Ensure effective, ongoing communication between practice physicians/staff and corporate leadership.
6. Develop relationships with key specialists in order to facilitate patient care.
Job Requirements:
1. Must be a seasoned professional; internal medicine medical assistant with experience working in a CLIA waived lab setting.
2. Appreciation of the unique nature of our healthcare delivery and related demands.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong interpersonal skills and highly developed listening ability.
5. Experience and ability to draw blood with ease.
6. Experience and ability to perform proficiently with x-ray, spirometry, EKG, audiogram and injections.
7. Able and willing to comply with company and industry operational standards and requirements.
8. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
9. Aptitude for operation of and troubleshooting computer software programs.
10. Ability to work as an effective member of a team.
11. Demonstrated integrity, professional maturity and leadership skills.
12. Experience with eClinical Works is high desirable.
Requirements:
- Able to pass a criminal background check & social media search
- HIPAA trained
- 3+ years of MA experience
- Graduated from an accredited MA program
- Excellent at blood draws
- Personable and friendly with patients
