Physician Biller (onsite)

Pay: $22-24/hr.

Job Overview 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding, and maintaining compliance with medical billing regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to work efficiently within a medical office environment.

Duties

• Process patient billing information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review and verify medical records to ensure proper coding using ICD-10 systems.
• Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding claims for payment.
• Handle medical collections by communicating with patients regarding their accounts and payment options.
• Maintain organized records of all billing transactions and correspondence with insurance providers.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies in billing or coding.
• Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in medical billing and insurance follow-up
• Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures is essential.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, DRG (Diagnosis Related Group), and various billing systems is highly desirable.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare staff.
