Medical Scribe - Float

Prestige Staffing has been tasked by one of our best clients to find a Medical Scribe to interview and go to work ASAP! Candidate must be hard working and a self-starter.

This is a permanent position and pay is based upon experience up to $24/hr.
This role is onsite and normal business (7:30 or 8:00 start time)  hours full time. 

Responsibilities:

• Accompany medical provider into exam rooms and transcribe a history, physical examination, and other documentation directly related to the physician-patient encounter
• Document resulted patient orders including laboratory test, radiology etc.
• List all diagnosis, follow up instructions, and prescriptions as dictated by physician
• Document any procedures performed during the visit
• Other clerical tasks to help the medical provider work more efficiently and effectively
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct
• Compliance with HIPAA

• 2 years with 1 of the years in primary care or internal medicine experience as a Medical Scribe.
• Prior knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy and medication
• High school diploma required
• Ability to type 65 WPM
• Computer proficiency
• EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively and calmly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Maintains a positive, caring attitude towards patients
