Junior Data Infrastructure Engineer - Investments

OVERVIEW: The Junior Data Infrastructure Engineer (“JDE”) will play a crucial role in interfacing with the Investment team to ensure seamless data flow and integration.

This individual will assist in managing and overseeing all data ingestion processes from various sources and support the production of data reports and the development of new reports tailored to business needs. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the investment team in the acquisition and maintenance of company, industry, economic, portfolio, and performance data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with the ability to derive insights and actionable intelligence from complex data sets. This position offers an entrepreneurial environment with opportunities for career advancement, based on the successful execution of responsibilities. The JDE will have strategic influence with management and key external IT service providers and will be comfortable operating with new and evolving technology. They will be part of a dynamic team, consisting of both internal and external support staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in building and maintaining data collection pipelines from disparate data sources
•Support the production of investment presentations, quarterly letters, and firm collateral
•Identify, diagnose, and rectify any issues with software, reports, and data, directly and/or in partnership with our key IT services.
•Deliver measurable results on extremely time sensitive topics.
•Maintain portfolio, financial reports, and economic databank/chartbook processes and data sources
•Liaise with third party vendors, IT providers, etc. for specific requirements. •Offer reactive and proactive support to business units and take into consideration critical issues.
•Demonstrate desire to learn new financial and technical skills, as it is needed in an unstructured environment.
•Assist in developing and maintaining reports and dashboards for use by the investment team

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Highest level of integrity and ethical standards
•Highly organized and ability to multi-task within ambiguity and rapid changing environment
•Have a voracious and intrinsic desire to learn and fill in missing skills – and an equally strong talent for sharing learning clearly and concisely with others.
•Exposure to Synapse data pipelines and integration techniques for moving, transforming, and storing data efficiently.
•Experience with APIs and data transformations
•Familiarity with SQL database management, including creating and maintaining advanced queries, optimizing database performance, and integrating databases.
•Experience with Python, PySpark and data analytics tools
•Experience with analytical and critical thinking
•Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development methodologies.
•Experience with Data Analytics Tools
•Two Years minimum, or equivalent experience in data science, statistics, system integrations
•BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or relevant field required.
•System Administration experience and Enterprise IT project management is preferred
