Summary
Seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced healthcare team in Dallas, TX. This temp-to-perm position offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care, perform clinical procedures, and support physicians in a dynamic medical setting. The role involves various patient care responsibilities, including vital signs measurement, specimen collection, medication administration, and assisting with examinations. The selected candidate will have a clinical background, with Epic system experience a plus. Flexibility to float between multiple locations and adherence to HIPAA regulations are essential. This position ensures a collaborative environment focused on exceptional patient service.
Requirements
- BLS certification
- Valid driver license
- Clinical background; Epic experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and bedside manner
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical equipment
- Interview patients and document medical histories accurately
- Measure, record, and report vital signs and patient data
- Collect specimens and perform routine tests and procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations as directed
- Monitor and report any adverse patient reactions
- Facilitate patient flow, ensuring all forms and charts are ready for providers
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Support operational tasks, including restocking supplies and disinfecting equipment
