Part-time MA
Job Summary:
The Pediatric Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the pediatric clinic. This role requires a warm and caring individual who enjoys working with children of all ages and can communicate effectively with both young patients and their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:

Greet patients and families in a friendly and professional manner

Take and record vital signs, height, weight, head circumference, and other measurements
-
Assist with pediatric procedures and examinations
-
Administer vaccines and medications as directed by the provider
-
Perform vision and hearing screenings
-
Collect and label lab specimens (e.g., throat swabs, urine samples)
-
Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
-
Follow infection control and safety protocols
-
Support providers during well-child checks and sick visits
Administrative Duties:

Schedule appointments and manage follow-ups
-
Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

Prepare charts for patient visits

Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries as needed

Assist with insurance forms, referrals, and prior authorizations
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
-
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
-
Current CPR certification (Pediatric CPR preferred)

Minimum 1 year experience in pediatrics or a similar clinical setting strongly preferred

Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR)
