Job Title: Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Revenue Cycle Manager
Location:  Smyrna, GA
Pay:  $70,000 - 85,000 (based on experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee and manage the end-to-end revenue cycle process within our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This key position will be responsible for optimizing the ASC's financial performance by ensuring timely and accurate billing, coding, collections, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Revenue Cycle Manager will work closely with clinical, administrative, and financial teams to streamline processes and improve revenue cycle efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Cycle Oversight:
    Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle process, including charge capture, coding, billing, claims submission, payment posting, accounts receivable management, and collections for the ASC.

  • Billing and Coding Compliance:
    Ensure accurate and timely coding of surgical procedures and related services, in compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations. Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure proper documentation for accurate coding.

  • Claims Management:
    Monitor the timely submission of claims, follow up on unpaid or denied claims, and ensure appropriate resolution of payment issues. Work with insurance carriers to resolve claim disputes and denials.

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    Prepare and analyze regular reports related to revenue cycle performance, including accounts receivable aging, denials, cash flow, and collection trends. Provide actionable insights to improve revenue cycle efficiency.

  • Team Leadership and Development:
    Lead, train, and develop a team of billing, coding, and collections professionals. Foster a collaborative and positive team culture while ensuring high-quality performance standards.

  • Customer Service:
    Address and resolve patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance coverage, and payment plans. Ensure a positive experience for patients while maintaining a professional and efficient approach.

  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    Stay informed about current industry regulations, payer policies, and reimbursement changes. Ensure all processes comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific guidelines.

  • Process Improvement:
    Identify and implement best practices for streamlining revenue cycle workflows, improving claim accuracy, reducing denials, and enhancing operational efficiency.

  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless communication regarding scheduling, pre-authorization, patient financial responsibility, and billing.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (preferred).
    • Certification in Medical Coding (CPC, CCS, or similar) preferred.
    • At least 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with a focus on an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient healthcare environment.
    • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role in revenue cycle management.
  • Skills & Abilities:

    • In-depth knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
    • Strong understanding of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and payer-specific billing requirements.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with revenue cycle management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
    • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to compliance with all healthcare regulations.
    • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
