$65,000 – $81,000 base (target $75K–$80K)
Location
Northfield, IL – hybrid (work from home 4 days/week, onsite Wednesdays or as needed)
Summary
Seeking a dedicated IT Procurement Specialist to support the procurement processes for the College of American Pathologists’ Information Services team. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of IS products and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently to drive procurement initiatives. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (BA or BS).
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, IT purchasing, or related business operations.
- Knowledge of IT procurement processes, licensing, vendor management, and SaaS agreements.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with IT hardware/software, licensing, managed services, and ERP systems preferred.
- Self-directed with the ability to handle confidential information and work collaboratively in a small team.
- Working residence within 75 miles of Northfield, IL.
Responsibilities
- Support supplier selection and procurement processes ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Negotiate contracts, licensing agreements, and Statements of Work aligning with stakeholder needs and legal requirements.
- Review and analyze SaaS and license agreements to ensure favorable terms and pricing.
- Manage hardware and software asset procurement and licensing renewals.
- Identify cost-savings opportunities, manage supplier relationships, and resolve procurement challenges proactively.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of vendor performance and contractual obligations, communicating impacts to stakeholders.
- Support ongoing procurement initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement in processes.
