Seeking a dedicated IT Procurement Specialist to support the procurement processes for the College of American Pathologists’ Information Services team. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of IS products and services. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (BA or BS).
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, IT purchasing, or related business operations.
• Knowledge of IT procurement processes, licensing, vendor management, and SaaS agreements.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with IT hardware/software, licensing, managed services, and ERP systems preferred.
• Self-directed with the ability to handle confidential information and work collaboratively in a small team.
• Working residence within 75 miles of Northfield, IL.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier selection and procurement processes ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Negotiate contracts, licensing agreements, and Statements of Work aligning with stakeholder needs and legal requirements.
• Review and analyze SaaS and license agreements to ensure favorable terms and pricing.
• Manage hardware and software asset procurement and licensing renewals.
• Identify cost-savings opportunities, manage supplier relationships, and resolve procurement challenges proactively.
• Maintain comprehensive understanding of vendor performance and contractual obligations, communicating impacts to stakeholders.
• Support ongoing procurement initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement in processes.
