$135,000 per year

Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid: 2 days in-office, typically Tuesday and Wednesday)
Summary
A luxury travel company experiencing substantial growth, is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their expanding technical team.
This role focuses on enhancing and defending the cybersecurity posture across cloud environments, with an emphasis on Azure and SaaS security.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cloud defense strategies, penetration testing, and auditing, aiming to strengthen security controls, prepare for audits, and develop response playbooks.
You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as Snowflake, CrowdStrike, Rapid7, and Azure Defender, and contribute to a dynamic, collaborative culture.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with cloud security, specifically in Azure, with transferable skills for AWS
- Strong penetration testing background
- Hands-on experience with security audits, compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, and familiarity with audit preparation
- Knowledge of SaaS app security, modern security tools, and automation of security operations
- Experience with security tools such as CrowdStrike, Rapid7, Azure Defender, and Snowflake security
- Certifications such as Azure certifications, CompTIA, CISSP preferred
- Ability to perform day-to-day security operations, review policies, and implement audit controls
- Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with business stakeholders and negotiating security protocols
- Self-starter with the drive to improve defensive operations and train team members
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve cloud security posture, focusing on Azure and SaaS environments
- Automate user access reviews and manage security operations using AI and agent-based tools
- Develop and execute incident response procedures, response playbooks, and security assessments
- Lead security audits, review policies, and implement controls aligned with ISO 27001 and other frameworks
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into daily workflows and projects
- Participate in security trainings and contribute to the ongoing development of the security program
- Assist in preparing for security certifications and compliance requirements
- Communicate security risks, findings, and strategies clearly to both technical teams and executive stakeholders
