Mobile Medical Assistant (ENT)
Pay: $25+ per hour, commensurate with experience.
Monthly car allowance of $750. Cell phone allowance. Overnight accommodations provided. Mileage reimbursement.
Location: Charleston, SC, with travel to Columbia, SC, approximately 4 times a month. Additional locations may be added as the business expands.
Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and highly motivated Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team as a Mobile Medical Assistant specializing in vestibular testing within ENT practices. This full-time role involves traveling to various medical offices to conduct diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art vestibular equipment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, maintaining professional relationships with providers, and supporting the growth of our operations. Experience working with diagnostic equipment and familiarity with ENT or neurotology environments are highly preferred.
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant Degree (preferred) or High School Diploma (required)
- Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance for work vehicle
- Access to reliable transportation (SUV or comparable 4-door vehicle) for entire shift
- 3+ years experience in a medical office setting
- 2+ years experience with diagnostic equipment (e.g., X-ray, EKG, EMG, ABI)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT coding (ICD-10), and EMR/EHR systems
- Experience in ENT, audiology, neurotology, neurology, or dizziness/balance centers is a major plus
- Ability to lift and transport diagnostic equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Self-driven, punctual, disciplined, and able to pass criminal background and DMV review
Responsibilities:
- Travel daily to different client locations to perform vestibular diagnostic testing.
- Set up, disassemble, and operate diagnostic equipment on scheduled patients.
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with healthcare providers and patients.
- Submit accurate and timely diagnostic results via web-based portals for clinical review.
- Transport and set up mobile testing equipment, ensuring it is ready for daily use.
- Assist in training and supervising new technicians as the business grows.
- Represent the company professionally, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries promptly.
