1. Two-to-four years established success in an insurance follow up role.
2. Healthcare industry background, laboratory environment preferred.

6. Experience with practice management software, Allscripts products preferred.
7. Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Job Description: Medical Biller/ Collector Specialist
Location: Sandy Springs / Hybrid role (2-3 days/week in office once trained)
Pay: 21-25 /hr depending on years of experience
Hours: Monday-Friday, normal business hours
Experience required:
- Manage follow-up claim queues for assigned clients and organize daily workload accordingly.
- Follow-up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timelines using payer websites or by calling the payer.
- Research and appeal denied claims with insurance and government payers. Effectively communicate status of claims by utilizing practice management software to track claim status and notes.
- Respond to account manager inquiries regarding claim follow-up status, appropriately documenting all actions taken for client review.
- Support patient service representatives by occasionally providing backup phone coverage for incoming patient calls.
- Organize and manage workload efficiently, effectively, and independently.
