Manager, Client Delivery

A rapidly scaling AI consulting and product development start-up is focused on helping high-growth organizations adopt AI and achieve measurable business impact. Offerings range from strategy and roadmap engagements through to full AI/ML product development. The client delivery team is expanding and looking for a talented and experienced consulting leader to join as a Manager and be the face of the most strategic client engagements.

The organization operates with three guiding principles, called Consulting 2.0:

  • Profit, not PowerPoints – while strategy and roadmaps are developed, the primary objective is building and deploying AI solutions that significantly impact profit (top-line revenue and bottom-line costs).

  • Product, not projects – AI products should always be on, continuously measured, and iteratively improved via the product backlog.

  • Open, not black box – clients are taken along the journey, building understanding of how AI works and the fundamentals that drive success, including process/end-user experience, data strategy, governance, and change management.

Position Summary

The Manager plays a pivotal role in understanding where clients are on their AI journey, translating challenges into offerings, and successfully executing across the entire engagement lifecycle (pre-sales, engagement delivery & execution, upsell/expansion). Given the start-up environment, this Manager will also contribute to internal initiatives and business development to fuel scale and growth. Additional influence in new offerings and sales engineering is expected.

This role is designed for an exceptional, self-starting consulting leader with a background in business and technology advisory and implementation consulting, combined with a strong understanding of strategy, data, and AI/ML. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, ready to tackle diverse challenges, remove roadblocks, and drive initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage advanced AI/ML knowledge and expertise to lead strategic assessments, define data strategies, and create actionable roadmaps that drive measurable business value.

  • Employ agile methodologies to plan, execute, and iterate on client engagements, ensuring efficiency, flexibility, and ongoing quality enhancements.

  • Develop and implement change management initiatives, including comprehensive training programs, to support adoption of new processes and technologies.

  • Design and deploy COEs and governance frameworks to foster innovation and ensure alignment with client and organizational goals.

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, manage executive communications, and develop long-term value propositions.

  • Guide cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration, strategic thinking, and high-impact outcomes.

  • Develop business cases with both quantitative and qualitative metrics to demonstrate ROI and the strategic/financial value of AI solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal consulting and engineering teams to scope, design, and propose tailored solutions.

  • Lead creation and continuous enhancement of hybrid service + AI product offerings in line with market trends.

  • Mentor and develop team members, cultivating a high-performance culture.

  • Establish repeatable frameworks, processes, and tools to optimize service delivery.

  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums.

  • Propose and implement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data & Analytics, Informatics, Engineering, Business Management, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).

  • 7+ years of consulting experience with a proven track record of leading strategic advisory engagements and successful delivery.

  • Experience identifying capability gaps and contributing to offering development.

  • Experience with data science projects, leveraging insights in business contexts.

  • Strong knowledge of LLMs and prompt engineering.

  • Skilled in project management and agile methodologies.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

  • Thrives in a startup environment, combining consulting expertise with entrepreneurial drive.

Employee Benefits

  • Health, vision, and dental PPO insurance (eligible day one).

  • Variable compensation: annual performance bonuses and potential equity options.

  • Retirement plan with discretionary yearly match.

  • Flex benefits including FSA, DCA, commuter, and learning/development stipends.

  • Unlimited PTO, paid holidays, and paid sick time.
