We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Total Rewards to lead our compensation, benefits, and recognition programs, ensuring our talent strategies align with our business goals.

Position Summary:

The Director, Total Rewards is a critical leadership role responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of the organization's total rewards strategy. This role will ensure our compensation, benefits, and recognition programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business objectives and talent acquisition and retention goals. Reporting to the CHRO, the Director will provide strategic guidance and operational expertise to drive a high-performance culture and enhance employee satisfaction.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Design:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive total rewards strategy that supports the organization's strategic goals and aligns with market best practices.
  • Conduct competitive market analysis and benchmarking to ensure compensation and benefits programs are competitive and equitable.
  • Design and manage executive compensation programs, including short-term and long-term incentive plans.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing benefit programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other employee perks.
  • Compensation Management:
  • Oversee the administration of base pay, variable pay, and incentive programs.
  • Develop and maintain salary structures, job evaluation processes, and pay equity analyses.
  • Provide guidance to HR and management on compensation-related matters, including salary recommendations and performance-based pay.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Manage the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with benefit vendors and brokers.
  • Develop and implement effective employee communication strategies for benefit programs.
  • Recognition & Rewards:
  • Design and implement employee recognition programs that promote a culture of appreciation and achievement.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of recognition programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Lead the companies long term incentive plan.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Prepare and analyze total rewards data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage the annual compensation planning and benefits enrollment processes.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Lead and develop a team of total rewards professionals.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of total rewards programs with business needs.
  • Provide expert advice and counsel to senior management on total rewards matters.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in total rewards, with a focus on compensation and benefits.  
    • Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits principles, practices, and regulations.
    • Experience with executive compensation and long-term incentive plans.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
    • Experience with HRIS systems and compensation management tools.
    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) certification preferred.
    • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
