Software Engineer - Salesforce Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Lead Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Software Engineer IV specializing in Salesforce, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience and support key business initiatives. Your expertise will drive the technical strategy, foster best practices, and mentor junior developers to elevate our Salesforce platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, modification, and enhancement of Salesforce applications to meet evolving business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA, and design, to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Design and implement new functionalities within Salesforce using Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and JavaScript frameworks for both desktop and mobile interfaces.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems using web services such as SOAP API, REST API, Bulk API, and Metadata API, and develop APIs for external consumption.
- Use SOQL and SOSL to efficiently search and manage Salesforce data.
- Uphold and enforce coding standards, perform code reviews, and ensure best practices for code quality and performance.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure continuous delivery.
- Identify and troubleshoot system integration issues, defects, and deployment challenges, providing timely resolutions.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and deployment procedures.
- Support major Salesforce deployment efforts and resolve critical post-deployment issues.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Software Developer I and II team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Lead technical strategy development, tool selection, and implementation to optimize Salesforce solutions.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining Salesforce applications, with strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, JavaScript, and related UI frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce integration using SOAP, REST, Bulk, and Metadata APIs.
- Proficiency in Salesforce data querying with SOQL and SOSL.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, particularly Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging, system integration, and defect resolution.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Effective communication skills to liaise across technical teams and stakeholders.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I/II certifications are a plus; a Lead or Architect certification is preferred.
