IT Director
Job Title: IT Director (Dealer Management Systems Focused)
Pay: $160,000-190,000 annually, with up to 20% bonus
Location: Lincolnshire, IL (Hybrid)
Industry: Must have Automotive/DMS management experience to apply
Summary:
As the IT Director, you will oversee all information technology operations, ensuring seamless system functionality and driving strategic IT initiatives aligned with business goals. You will lead a team of IT professionals, fostering innovation and collaboration across departments to deliver efficient technology solutions that support growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of proven IT leadership experience, preferably within automotive or retail industries
- Strong expertise in business application and database management
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS), CRM, and automotive software applications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives
- Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
- Certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, or PMP are advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute IT strategies that support dealership growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Oversee the selection, deployment, and integration of critical business applications and software systems
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective and reliable IT solutions
- Develop and monitor IT budgets, identifying savings and optimization opportunities
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their applicability to the dealership
- Provide ongoing training and professional development for IT staff
- Coordinate with various departments to identify technological needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Ensure compliance and security standards across all IT systems
