Pay: $19-23/hr based on years of experience

Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented and professional Patient Scheduler to join a high-volume healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will manage outpatient appointment scheduling, coordinate patient and physician schedules to optimize satisfaction, and ensure accuracy in all data entry and documentation. This role involves engaging with patients over the phone, providing clear instructions, and handling pre-registration requirements efficiently. The position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with healthcare call center experience to contribute to patient care excellence in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare or patient scheduling experience
- High School Diploma, GED or Certificate required
- Effective communication skills, especially in handling difficult customer interactions
- General knowledge of medical insurance, medical terminology, and coding (ICD-9/10, CPT) preferred
- Ability to analyze problems and offer solutions
- Experience working in a call center environment is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls professionally and courteously, scheduling outpatient appointments accurately
- Collect patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring data integrity
- Confirm and coordinate physician and patient schedules to maximize efficiency and satisfaction
- Determine patient financial responsibility, collect copayments, and explain payment policies at scheduling
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality at all times
- Address and resolve scheduling conflicts or patient concerns proactively
- Support additional duties as assigned, fostering a team-oriented environment
