• Demand Sent
• In Litigation
15 day follow up
• Case in Negotiation (reduction request has been submitted to the Legacy Billing Specialist
and approved by Dr. E)
• Settlement pending
• The individual cases will then show up by the assigned follow up date in the “T” jelly bean. Click on the “T” jelly bean daily and go to claims for those cases that require an updated status

Job Title: Personal Injury Case Manager
Reports To: Practice Manager
Location: Smyrna, GA
Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm
Job type: Contract - permanent (90 temp period)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Personal injury background in relation to medical practices
- eClinicalWorks EMR experience
- Worker's Compensation Claims
- MVA Claims
- Background in working with attorneys or at a law office
Responsibilities and Duties:
- An A/R aging report will be given to the staff by the 5th of each month to work.
- The specialists will be assigned either the over 90 day, or 180 day based upon the greatest number of case volume
- The specialist will review the patient’s chart to ensure all
- applicable signed liens are in the chart, as well as signed HIPAA releases.
- If any signed documentation is missing, contact the
- firm and/or patient to obtain the missing information.
- Once the chart is complete, contact the attorney firm and obtain an updated case status
- Once the case status has been obtained, the specialist will update the status on the Master PI spreadsheet located on the Google drive
- The specialist will then update the case status for each individual claim in the EMR.
- Consistent and thorough follow up on all discharged cases to obtain status and expedite payment
- Once the case has been statused in the EMR, the follow up dates and priority follow up levels will be set as below:
• Legacy Done Treating
• Gathering Bills and Records
• Demand Sent
• In Litigation
