Senior/Principal DevSecOps Engineer
Senior/Principal DevSecOps Engineer
Pay: USD $170,000 – $190,000 annually
Location: Remote (United States)
Summary:
Seeking an experienced DevSecOps professional to lead the design, automation, and security of cloud infrastructure in a remote-first environment. In this role, you will develop scalable, reliable systems, enhance security protocols, and support engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions with confidence. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, reliability, and long-term technical growth within a dynamic, distributed workplace.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience managing and maintaining large-scale Linux-based systems.
- Deep expertise in designing and deploying AWS cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Terragrunt, and implementing infrastructure as code methodologies.
- Practical experience working with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration (preferably EKS).
- Ability to design and sustain continuous integration and delivery pipelines for diverse platforms.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, or Memcached.
- Experience utilizing monitoring and alerting tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
- Knowledge of distributed computing and microservices architecture principles.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop scalable and highly available cloud solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using Terraform and Helm.
- Build, refine, and manage efficient CI/CD pipelines across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging systems to ensure maximum system uptime.
- Participate in defining security standards, responding to incidents, and planning disaster recovery protocols.
- Design and enforce security measures like IAM policies, VPC configurations, and data encryption strategies.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to guarantee system security and stability.
- Support the development of infrastructure for data lakes and extract-transform-load (ETL) pipelines.
