Summary
Seeking experienced Clinical Pharmacists with Medicare Part B expertise to review medication regimens for a patient backlog of approximately 30,000 individuals. The primary focus is on evaluating current medications, performing step therapy, and recommending cost-effective generic alternatives to optimize patient care. This contract position offers a dynamic opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a fully remote setting, with potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.


Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution
  • Valid pharmacist license in Florida
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in clinical pharmacy setting
  • Proven knowledge of Medicare Part B, Step Therapies, and Formularies
  • Strong understanding of tiers and medication step therapy protocols
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with healthcare teams
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Able to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Responsibilities

  • Review medication regimens for Medicare patients, focusing on optimizing therapy through step therapies and formulary management
  • Identify clinically appropriate, cost-effective generic medication options
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients regarding medication adjustments
  • Document findings and recommendations clearly and accurately
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and develop pharmacy protocols
  • Stay current on new drugs, therapies, and regulations related to Medicare Part B
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
  • Contribute to the team’s overall goal of delivering high-quality, efficient patient care
