MA/Phlebotomist

Medical Assistant/ Phlebotomist 
Family Medicine center in Cumming looking for a Medical Assistant (four day work week). This position is contract to hire position. Schedule is M, W, TH, F, normal business hours (32 hours a week). Four day work week, Tuesday OFF.
 

Responsibilities:

• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable with IV, injections, phlebotomy with at least two years of experience
• Familiarity with clinic health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
• Comfortable starting and stopping IV's, giving injections, spirometry, labs, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
