Remote Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist
We are looking for an experienced and personable Bookkeeper to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing bookkeeping for multiple clients and thrive in a client-facing role. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring our clients receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining financial records for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciling bank statements and preparing financial reports for clients.
- Communicating directly with clients to understand their needs, address questions, and offer financial insights.
- Onboarding and setting up bookkeeping accounts in QuickBooks Online.
- Assisting with clean-up of client accounts.
- Collaborating & Managing clients with a supporting team of junior bookkeepers to provide top-tier client service.
- Onboarding and setting up payroll accounts for clients.
- Providing support to payroll processor.
- Monitoring payee/vendor transactions and processing 1099 forms at year-end.
- Assisting with tax preparation and compliance tasks as needed.
- Able to enter adjusting journal entries.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, particularly in managing multiple client accounts.
- Proven experience in payroll processing.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and spreadsheet software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and compliance with industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected with the team.
- Enjoys interacting with clients and providing exceptional service.
- Experience with Real Estate clients & Small business/Investment bookkeeping a plus!
