Accounting Specialist

Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Pay: $45,000 - $60,000+
Location: Prospect Heights, IL (100% On-site)

Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to manage key financial processes, including month-end closing, invoicing, collections, and vendor payments. 

Requirements:

• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
• Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible accounting experience
• Proficiency with accounting and payroll software applications (e.g., QuickBooks, Bill.com)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely invoicing of customers daily and resolve any billing discrepancies
• Follow-up with relevant departments for payment resolutions
• Collect and manage past due customer accounts
• Process customer payments efficiently
• Issue customer billing statements promptly
• Code accounts payable transactions in Bill.com
• Administer vendor payments via external websites
