Instrument Sterilization (Tech, MA or PCT)
Instrument Sterilization Technician
Support a medical team by sterilizing instruments, preparing tissues, and assisting with clinical tasks. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with tissue disposal. Cross-train in MA duties, including taking vitals and triage.
Pay: $20-$22/hour (Depending on experience)
Location: Carbondale, IL 62901
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Saturday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
*Rotating days off Monday - Wednesday*
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in medical sterilization preferred
- Knowledge of sterilization equipment and infection control
- Team player with strong organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Sterilize surgical instruments
- Prepare and dispose of tissues
- Maintain sterilization equipment and inventory
- Record processes and ensure compliance
- Assist with patient vitals and triage (cross-training)
