Pre-op/PACU RN - Smyrna

Pay: $40 - $45 per hour

Summary:
Seeking an experienced Pre-op/PACU Registered Nurse to join a busy ambulatory surgery center on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort. This role offers a dynamic work setting focused on high-quality patient outcomes and professional growth.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an ambulatory surgery center setting
• Recent OR, Pre-Op, or PACU experience within the last 2 years
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health status and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor vital signs and promptly report changes
• Assist in surgical procedures and provide comprehensive post-operative care
• Document care accurately in electronic medical records
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient transitions
• Educate and support patients throughout their surgical journey
• Maintain safety standards and control practices to protect patients and staff
• Restock the PACU area as needed
