Provides IT services support to clients for desktop, applications, computer networking, and hosting services. This position is hands-on with direct client interaction that will entail occasional after-hours and weekend work. Work is approximately 80% on-site in Valparaiso, IN; 20% on-site at client locations. The service area includes NW Indiana, SW Michigan, and the Chicago metro area.
Responsibilities:
Title: IT Support Specialist
Pay: $55-60k base
Schedule: Direct hire, perm
Location: Hybrid, Valparaiso, IN
Must Have: Windows, Active Directory, Desktop Deployment
Job Description:Provides IT services support to clients for desktop, applications, computer networking, and hosting services. This position is hands-on with direct client interaction that will entail occasional after-hours and weekend work. Work is approximately 80% on-site in Valparaiso, IN; 20% on-site at client locations. The service area includes NW Indiana, SW Michigan, and the Chicago metro area.
Responsibilities:
- Responds to IT support requests and alerts as required, ensuring prompt resolution
- Maintains communications with clients on the status of issues and requests
- Tracks and accurately documents support activity in support system
- As warranted, escalates issues to Director of IT for resolution
- Windows, Windows applications
- Active Directory
- Google Suite administration, Chromebooks
- End-to-end desktop/application support
- Desktop deployment
- Backup deployment and monitoring
- Hosting environments

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to organize work and multitask
- Problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and keep up with new practices and procedures
- Compliance in the security of our systems and the confidentiality of client and company data. As required meet HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, and NIST standards
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license & personal, reliable vehicle to travel to client locations
- Ability to lift to 45 lbs.
