Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Salary: ($40-44/hr.)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3-5 days a week
Location: Sandy Springs, GA

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals under the supervision of the authorized user and operate a gamma camera to produce images of the perfusion of the heart.
• Reviews Physician's order and obtains pertinent medical information to identify type of exam required
• Handles, calibrates, and administers radioactive materials to patients in accordance with accepted safety procedures
• Explains procedure to patient
• Selects equipment protocol, positions patient, and modifies factors as necessary
• Obtains images, processes test and reviews results with physician
• Calibrates instruments daily
• Keeps appropriate records for policy and procedures to maintain RAM license
• Practices proper ALARA safety techniques

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Board or registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist through American Registry of Radiological Technologist
• Certified in Basic Life Support
