An integral leadership role overseeing a dynamic, high-performing engineering team for a long-standing client in the food distribution industry. This position combines strategic enterprise-level architecture with hands-on development, team management, and client engagement. The successful candidate will drive innovative technical solutions, foster team growth, and be a trusted advisor to senior client executives, ultimately supporting the client's ambitious growth trajectory over the next several years. Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software design, development, and enterprise architecture
• Proven expertise with Microsoft .NET technologies, Angular, AWS cloud (Lambda, API Gateway, SNS), and modern DevOps/CD practices
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, diverse engineering teams (onshore, nearshore, offshore)
• Deep knowledge of cloud-based distributed systems, microservices, CQRS, SOLID principles, and scalable database solutions including Postgres and Jsonb
• Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (MSTest, MOQ), and application monitoring tools such as DataDog and SonarQube
• Exceptional client management skills, with a consultative mindset and ability to build trusted senior-level relationships
• Passion for mentoring, team development, and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering organization, managing daily operations, objectives, and team development
• Serve as the technical visionary at the enterprise level, providing strategic architectural guidance and innovation
• Cultivate a deep, trusted relationship with the client’s Engineering Lead and CIO to influence technical direction and ensure alignment to business goals
• Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and business analysts to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Design, oversee, and ensure the successful implementation of complex applications, integrating seamlessly with existing systems
• Maintain a keen focus on industry best practices, automation, testing, and system stability
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with onshore, nearshore, and offshore engineering resources
• Drive continuous improvement in technical processes, team skills, and client satisfaction
• Contribute to strategic planning, growth initiatives, and the ongoing success of the client account
