Sr. Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting

Client: Manufacturing Industry
Title: Senior Manager
Location: 3 days onsite Chicago, IL
Duration: Permanent, direct-hire
Salary: $140,000-155,000 + 20% bonus

Responsibilities:

• Owns the preparation and review of external financial reporting, including overseeing preparation of Forms 10-Q & 10-K, including financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, statement of shareholders’ equity, and statement of cash flows), footnote disclosures, and MD&A
• Ensure compliance with SEC reporting rules and regulations through the accurate and timely filing of required documents
• Review Press Release financials, including GAAP to Non-GAAP reconciliations
• Perform the calculation of earnings per share
• Assist with software implementation related to financial reporting
• Review contracts to ensure accurate application of ASC 606 revenue recognition

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA required

Skills & Abilities:

• Exceptional breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in US GAAP and SEC reporting
• Strong technical accounting memo writing skills
• Advanced Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with Sarbanes Oxley 404 internal controls implementation or governance
