Software Engineer, Test
Software Engineer in Test
Pay: $180,000 - $220,000
Location: NYC (Hybrid, 1-2 days a week in office)
Summary:

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will be instrumental in supporting all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing critical trading applications supporting equities and options exchanges. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organization, leveraging your expertise to ensure high-quality, reliable trading systems.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a QA engineer or similar role
- Experience with trading systems and FIX protocol highly preferred
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix for at least 3 years
- Basic to intermediate skills in C++, Java, and Python
- Knowledge of test management software
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze requirement specifications to develop effective test strategies and plans
- Write, execute, and automate test scenarios; report bugs and collaborate with development teams for reproduction and retesting
- Participate in code reviews and conduct end-to-end integration and implementation testing
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
- Troubleshoot production issues and support deployments, ensuring system integrity and performance
