Front Office Representative
Medical Front Office Representative — Job Description (Buckhead, GA)
Location: Buckhead (Atlanta), GA 30305
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM + 1 Saturday/month
Worksite: 100% on-site
Pay: $18–$22/hr (based on experience)
Type: Contract-to-hire (approx. 3 months, intent to convert)
Position Summary
We’re seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Medical Front Office Representative to support a busy Urology practice in Buckhead. This role is the first point of contact for patients and plays a key part in ensuring a smooth, professional, and efficient experience from check-in through check-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients; provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced medical office
- Answer multi-line phones, route calls appropriately, take messages, and follow up as needed
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and appointment details
- Collect copays/balances, provide receipts, and support checkout workflows
- Schedule appointments, reschedule as needed, and confirm upcoming visits
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR/practice system (scanning, updating charts, etc.)
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow and reduce wait times
- Assist with general administrative duties (faxing, forms, referrals support as assigned)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 2+ years of experience in a medical front office / medical receptionist role preferred
- Strong knowledge of patient registration, insurance verification, and basic billing/copy collection
- Comfortable learning and using EMR systems; strong computer and data-entry skills
- Professional communication skills (in person and on the phone)
- Reliable attendance and ability to multitask with attention to detail
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
- Urology (or specialty practice) experience
- Prior experience in a smaller practice environment and wearing “multiple hats”
