    Prestige Staffing is hiring for a permanent Radiation Oncology experienced Coder. Must hold a national certification and have recent experience. This job is located in Decatur, GA and would be an excellent career move. Monday through Friday with flexible day time hours. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The job role is accountable for the performance of charge capture responsibilities including reviewing physician documentation, CPT10 & ICD-10 coding, TES edit maintenance and resolution. Special projects in order to optimize the revenue collections for the revenue cycle responsibilities.  Direct daily functions that contribute to service capture, charge capture, management of patient financial information (registration/insurance, referrals, pre-certs etc.), and collection of patient service revenue. Workload assignments will focus on the most complex and high risk procedures and cases with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology. 


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • ROCC (Radiation Oncology Certified Coder) certification a PLUS
  • Coding certificate through nationally recognized organization (AAPC, AHIMA, etc.) required: CCS-P, CPC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC-H
  • 3-5 years professional coding experience in CPT4, ICD9-CM, HCPCS, and working knowledge of ICD10-CM
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
  • GE Centricity experience preferred
  • Hospital experience would be a plus
  • Knowledge of billing regulations, insurance coverage limitations and managed care protocols and the ability to research unfamiliar procedures is a plus
  • Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) knowledge would be a plus
  • Professional Medical Society websites and NCCI edit conventions
  • Ability to translate operative notes into billable services.
  • Successful completion of the AAPC ICD-10 Proficiency Assessment.
