Front End Developer

  • Conceive and model user interface prototypes based on high level feature requirements
  • Develop reusable UI components that addresses customer requirements and business needs
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers and test engineers at release and sprint levels
  • Actively participate in requirements reviews, and architecture/design meetings
  • Follow UX and IA best practices
  • Contribute scalable, production-ready code for user-facing features using suitable technologies
  • Present and conduct reviews of user interface designs with product owners and stakeholders

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in web based user interface development
  • E-commerce experience preferred
  • Passion for developing elegant and intuitive user interfaces
  • Expert knowledge in web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.
  • Proficiency with popular tools and libraries such as jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, Google Maps APIs, Modernizr, HTML5 Boilerplate, etc.
  • Experience implementing  responsive design concepts & practices
  • Experience using distributed version control systems (i.e., Git)
  • Knowledge and desire to work in a fast-paced and Agile environment
  • Familiarity with JSLint and/or other code quality tools
  • Experience in cross-platform debugging and troubleshooting programming related issues
  • Entrepreneurial minded, creative problem solver and innovative thinker
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self motivated with a proven ability to work independently or in a team environment

Desired Knowledge

  • Experience with CSS a preprocessor such as Sass
  • Familiarity working within the Demandware presentation layer using UX Studio
  • Experience architecting and building object oriented applications using client-side MVC frameworks (i.e., Backbone, Angular, etc)
  • Experience with build streaming Node-based task runners (i.e., Grunt or Gulp)
