Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in patient care coordination or surgery scheduling
  • Proficient in EPIC and medical terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and ability to manage scheduling and coordination tasks
  • Knowledge of outpatient care processes and appointment management
  • Ability to start immediately and work on-site daily
  • Must pass criminal background and drug testing

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate surgery scheduling and outpatient care appointments for patients
  • Serve as primary point of contact for established patients and families
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and ancillary teams to ensure timely care and appointments
  • Address administrative and process issues to improve patient access and experience
  • Provide emotional support and answer patient questions to enhance overall satisfaction
  • Manage patient communication, documentation, and follow-up details
  • Ensure compliance with medical terminology and care protocols
  • Communicate effectively with staff, providing feedback to foster positive working relationships
