Lead DevOps Engineer

Pay: $180,000 - $190,000 annually

Location: Downtown Austin, 78701 — Hybrid (in-office 3 days/week)

You will manage CI/CD pipelines, ensure infrastructure scalability and security, and provide on-call support. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 8+ years of DevOps experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong background in designing solutions across cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, Rackspace)
  • Expertise with CI/CD tools (TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLabs) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation)
  • Management of SaaS applications, monitoring, and incident management experience
  • Proficiency with observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, or ELK stack
  • Solid understanding of networking, Linux environments, and application debugging
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills in Agile teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead the DevOps team to develop and enforce best practices for infrastructure automation, security, and scalability
  • Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment cycles
  • Drive operational excellence through monitoring, incident management, and continuous feedback
  • Collaborate with architecture and product teams on technology decisions
  • Maintain high system security and compliance standards
  • Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement
  • Provide on-call support for internal and customer issues
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
