Summary
Join a dedicated primary care team serving an older adult population in a senior-focused clinic. This full-time, on-site role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience with potential for permanent placement. The Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment, ensuring patients receive compassionate, high-quality care. The position is ideal for candidates with at least one year of Medical Assistant experience, who are bilingual and comfortable handling diverse patient needs. Note: No part-time, weekend, or holiday shifts required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good knowledge of EMR systems such as eCW or EPIC
- Ability to perform clinical duties including vitals, injections, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site
- No certifications required, but CPR and IV start certifications are a plus
Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations, obtain medical history, and record vital signs in EMR
- Assist providers with all aspects of patient exams and procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including injections, phlebotomy, wound dressing, and in-office testing
- Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records
- Handle front desk duties such as scheduling, answering calls, and triaging patient inquiries
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and post-visit instructions
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Support transitional care activities including follow-up calls and medication reminders
- Manage medical supplies and inventory
- Help train new team members as needed
