Pay: $16 - $19 per hour
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee, On-site (100%)
Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Poster to join our healthcare facility for a 3-month contract-to-hire role. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and posting payments from both patients and insurance companies, ensuring accurate and timely financial documentation. This role offers an opportunity for internal growth within a growing hospital system and a positive company culture.
Requirements
- Experience in payment posting, specifically with insurance and patient payments
- Proficiency with billing and accounting systems, preferably NextGen EMR
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to reconcile payments and identify discrepancies
Responsibilities
- Post payments to patient accounts accurately and promptly
- Allocate payments according to provided services and insurance terms
- Reconcile payments with invoices and claims
- Ensure compliance with billing procedures and insurance agreements
- Collaborate with billing and finance teams to resolve any payment discrepancies
