Summary
We are seeking a CNIM-certified Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Specialist for a highly regarded specialty practice to provide real-time neurophysiologic monitoring during spine surgical procedures. The role involves working closely with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety by monitoring neurological activity, helping to reduce neurological risks during surgeries. This is an onsite position offering a collaborative environment with no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities, and regular daytime hours.
Requirements
- CNIM certification is required
- Prior intraoperative neuromonitoring experience is necessary; OR support for CNIM certification is acceptable
- Experience supporting spine surgery cases is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of neurophysiologic monitoring modalities and surgical workflow
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related clinical or science field is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative neuromonitoring during spine surgeries
- Communicate real-time neurological status updates to surgeons and the OR team
- Prepare equipment, ensure proper electrode placement, and optimize signal acquisition
- Maintain accurate case documentation and post-case reports
- Collaborate with physicians, OR staff, and anesthesia to ensure high-quality patient care
- Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently in the OR
- Adhere to all clinical, regulatory, and safety standards
