Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a senior-focused primary care clinic in Tulsa, OK. The LPN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery. This role involves performing clinical duties, patient education, and supporting healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position is a temporary 15-week contract with potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current LPN Certification in Oklahoma
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- At least 1 year of medical assisting experience
- CPR certification (preferred)
- IV Start certification (preferred)
- Phlebotomy experience and knowledge of specimen collection methods
- Ability to effectively read and write in medical terminology
- Knowledge of medical coding and HIPAA compliance
- Familiarity with common prescription medications
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools
- Own transportation and ability to operate basic medical and computer equipment
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and prepare them for examination, including history-taking and record documentation
- Measure and record vital signs and other clinical data in electronic medical records
- Assist providers during procedures by handing instruments and equipment
- Perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, IV monitoring, and in-office diagnostic tests
- Conduct CLIA-waived lab testing and maintain related logs and quality controls
- Draw blood and process specimens for send-out testing
- Provide patient education and support provider in clinical procedures
- Manage medical supplies, inventory, and ordering as needed
- Support front office functions, including patient check-in/out, referrals, and medication management
- Perform additional clerical and clinical duties as assigned
