.NET Software Developer

Skills:  Computer Science, Strong object-oriented experience, C#, SQL Server, WCF/Web Services, Web Applications, etc.

Pay: Flexible salary based on experience (roughly $75-100K)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Cobb Galleria)

Our client is a successful financial services / payments company that is based on a proprietary payments processing engine. They are looking to grow their software development team and are looking for a talented .NET Developer with a passion for technology.  
 
Responsibilities:

  • Work with business teams to clarify requirements and business needs. 
  • Collaborate with other developers and architects to determine optimal solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability. 
  • Develop high-level system narratives, storyboards, and user interface prototypes. 
  • Develop system test plans, ensure software quality assurance (SQA) standards are achieved, and validate that business goals are accomplished. 
  • Troubleshoot existing systems to resolve customer issues and improve system functionality and stability
  • Complete projects/tasks on a timely basis, according to commitments made to stakeholders and management 
  • Report project/task status to the appropriate Application Development Manager on a weekly basis (at minimum). 
  • Assist local business teams with general IT support. Foster open lines of communication with all parties. 

Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in application development. 
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or equivalent IT knowledge/experience. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Windows environments and the Microsoft development stack
  • Experience in creating application solutions using C#, SQL Server, WCF web services, WPF, Winforms, ASP.NET, XML. 
  • Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (and related tools) and TFS. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of object-oriented design and programming techniques. 

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile practices and methodology. 
  • Experience with development patterns including MVVM, MVP, MVC. 
  • Experience with AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful Web Services, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with 3rd Party UI packages (e.g. DevExpress) 
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in the software development process and creative problem solving skills.
