TIER II NOC ENGINEER w/ Microsoft Services Experience

Pay: up to $60,000 – based on experience

Job Description:

Our client is currently looking to fill the position of Tier II NOC Engineer WITH Microsoft SERVICES experience to help our Tier II Field Support team support our end users' network operations: devices, servers, and networking equipment, with a heavy focus on desktop support. The NOC Engineer will troubleshoot a wide array of technical issues and guide customers through Tier II remediation procedures & create a ticket which is then escalated to the filed support team. The NOC Engineer must be customer-oriented, able to deal with multiple issues at once, and high pressure situations. They must also be able to collaborate with other team members to ensure excellent customer service, reliable operation of software, and systems for business objectives and processes for our customers and business.

Responsibilities:

Identify and resolve recurring problems to active issues and determine root cause analysis and correction.

Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel

Coordinate software and system updates with the IT team and clients. Be able to install and configure new software and troubleshoot, patch, and monitor issues.

Provide service for client systems when incidents occur that hinder their productivity and ability to maintain their work environment.

Monitor and maintain our clients' security systems and servers. 

Provide tier 2 technical support to users and partners.

Documentation of client system configurations and procedures for maintenance and updates and/or upgrades.

Perform server system audits, upgrades, maintenance, and reports. Perform necessary duties for security and firmware as well as backups.

General In-house network maintenance

New hire setup including: Active Directory, Exchange, workstation setup, company mobile device & security badge programming

Qualifying Requirements:

Qualifying Requirements:

2-4 years of relevant work experience in Service Desk, Technical Support, or Help Desk.

Microsoft Services NOC / Help Desk Experience.

Windows Server / Windows 7 – Windows 10 / Microsoft Office 2010 and newer experience. 

VMWare a plus! Will be helping clients move from older VMWare to newer version.

Prefer Server 2016, 2012, 08, Active Directory, Firewalls, ADVANCED (hands-on experience) Network Diagnostics.

Experience with Wireless/WiFi connectivity.

BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field

Other specialized software such as PC LAW, Aderant, Coyote Analytics,  Sage Software Products, Docuware and Worldox are a plus.  Printer experience also a plus.

Technical certifications are a plus
