Summary
Seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to provide exceptional clinical support within a busy healthcare setting. Responsible for managing patient flow, performing vital signs, assisting with procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation. The role involves collaborating with providers to deliver efficient and compassionate patient care, including specimen collection, medication management, and administrative tasks. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment, with additional responsibilities for procedure room tasks and documentation accuracy.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Experience with patient triage and clinical procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple administrative and clinical duties
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
Responsibilities
- Check-in patients and escort them to exam rooms
- Triage visits and record vital signs
- Request and review patient records and imaging
- Ensure all visit documentation, referrals, and prescriptions are properly entered
- Call in prescriptions, dispense medications, and perform prior authorizations
- Conduct brain scope testing as ordered
- Review and update patient forms including PHQ-9 and Review of Systems
- Manage emails, voicemails, faxes, and open orders ensuring timely responses
- Scan and file all medication invoices and documentation
- Track sample medications for inventory
- Sanitize patient rooms and equipment regularly
- For procedure room roles: prepare consent forms and assist with injections, print and review prescriptions, and manage PDMP access.
- Handle administrative tasks such as faxing patient information and entering orders for braces or collars
