Overview
South Atlanta Vascular Institute is an outpatient clinic, diagnostic ultrasound department and surgery center focused on vascular disease located in Stockbridge GA.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate full time Vascular Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate MUST be a team player with the ability to perform independently.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasounds with a familiarity with both arterial and venous disease . This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. The Ultrasonographer will play a vital role in patient care by providing accurate imaging results that assist in medical diagnoses. RVT certification preferred.
Duties
• Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Utilize sonography equipment to capture images of vascular structures.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, employing aseptic techniques as necessary.
• Analyze images for diagnostic purposes and prepare preliminary reports for physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures performed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss findings and contribute to patient care plans.
• Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques through continuous education.
Qualifications
• Degree or certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Proficiency in sonography techniques, particularly in vascular.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging principles.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques is advantageous.
