Pay
$200k base salary + 10-15% bonus
Location
Fort Worth, TX (3 days in the office, remote not available)
Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Platform Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of our data infrastructure within a premier investment management firm. This role involves owning data pipelines, establishing company-wide data standards, and transforming complex data into reliable insights to support investment decisions, performance reporting, and client outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data architecture, governance, and software engineering, particularly within the investment or wealth management space. Collaborating across teams, you will help evolve data models, optimize pipelines, and ensure robust security and high availability, all while mentoring team members and staying ahead of industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in technology, software development, or data engineering
- Proven experience in investment management, private equity, hedge funds, or wealth management
- Strong expertise in data governance, architecture, and pipeline development
- Advanced SQL skills; proficiency in Python and C#
- Experience with DBT, Airflow, Snowflake, and cloud platforms such as AWS
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform) and observability tools
- Ability to create scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams
- Experience mentoring and leading data teams
- Familiarity with AI strategy integration is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data pipelines and data warehouse architecture
- Establish and enforce data standards and governance policies across the organization
- Partner with analytics and engineering teams to ensure high-quality, accessible data for business use
- Develop and evolve data models, pipelines, and observability frameworks
- Drive the adoption of best practices in data security, disaster recovery, and high availability
- Mentorship of team members and promoting a culture of operational excellence
- Evaluate new data technologies and trends to improve the firm’s data landscape
- Collaborate on vendor selection and platform development projects
- Provide strategic input to integrate AI and automation into data processes
- Work closely with business units to develop bespoke data solutions and tools
