Indirect Tax Analyst
Job Title: Indirect Tax Analyst
Pay: $70-90K + 15% bonus
Location: Sandy Springs (5 days onsite)
Overview
The Indirect Tax Analyst plays a key role in supporting a wide range of functions within the Indirect Tax Group, including compliance, audits, research, planning, systems support, and issue resolution. This position reports to the Indirect Tax Manager and collaborates closely with team members to ensure the organization’s tax obligations are met accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review indirect tax filings (e.g., sales and use tax, GST, VAT, telecom taxes, property tax, and annual reports), including data collection, analysis, and return submission
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure timely and accurate filings as part of the monthly compliance process
- Support audits and respond to tax inquiries through data gathering, analysis, and issue investigation
- Participate in indirect tax system implementations by assisting with setup, testing, and troubleshooting
- Contribute to the development of automation tools and process enhancements to drive compliance efficiencies
- Help administer the OneSource (Sabrix) platform, including tax rate updates, law changes, product/service setup, and exemption certificate management
- Research and resolve jurisdictional notices and correspondence
- Interpret and apply tax laws, regulations, and policy changes across U.S. state and local jurisdictions
- Assist with general ledger reconciliations, indirect tax calculations, and journal entries
- Support various tax-related special projects as assigned
- Gain a deep understanding of business operations and incorporate insights into tax-related decision-making
- Document and maintain indirect tax processes and procedures for knowledge sharing and continuity
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of indirect tax experience in a multinational corporate environment or public accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to formulate actionable recommendations
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present tax concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Alteryx is a plus
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP and/or OneSource (Sabrix) is highly desirable
